Stayed at koala hotel for one week July 2006 - (2 families). Homely hotel, clean and tidy. Liz and George the owners v.helpful and friendly. Pool area with garden not too busy at all. Beach walkable distance, but hotel runs reliable minibus from hotel at 10.00 am to beach everyday and does a pick up at 2pm & 4pm, v.handy service! Not all rooms have air-con, but fans available to hire. Stayed on halfboard basis, food pretty basic and restaurant a bit like a canteen but adequate, we ate out a couple of times to get the more traditional greek food/ambiance feel. For better taverna food - turn right out of hotel away from tourist bit walk to the main road, 2 tavernas opposite large supermarket more traditional. Buses leave for rhodes & lindos right outside hotel, but again if you walk to main road there are more buses which are more regular. Turning left out of hotel and walking for 10 minutes down the tree lined avenue brings you to the tourist bit, lots of bars selling 2for1 drinks and enough shops to look around, but all selling similar tourist stuff. We had a nice holiday for the week, two weeks might have been a bit of a stretch but resort is OK and beach is safe. Coming home, Rhodes airport was a mayhem!

We stayed at the Koala as a couple and with our teenage daughter and her boyfriend. The owners- Liz and George- made us all welcome, young and not so young. We are going back very soon

we have being staying at the koala hotel for the last 4 years we think it great, you are made to feel like part of the family,they are realy nice people

MY FAMILY AND I HAVE BEEN TO THE KOALA TWO YEARS RUNNING THE BEST HOTEL WE HAVE BEEN TO AND WE HAVE BEEN TO MANY GREEK ISLANDS. VERY CLEAN VERY FRIENDLY HOME FROM HOME.
