My wife & myself first visited Rodos in Sept 1979 and we styaed in the idyllic resort of Lindos. We immeadiately fell in love with the place, and decided that one day we would settle down on rodos. 10 years passed before we returned once again and stayed between Lindos & Pefkos. We found that although Lindos had changed dramatically form our previous visit, it still had not lost its charm and our feeling of moving out there had not diminished. The following year we returned but stayed in Pefkos at the Pefkos Beach Hotel, Pefkos in those days was just a quiet backwater no street lights no mettalled road a few bars & restraunts just a great place to chill out and relax, we continued to visit Pefkos twice a year in May & Oct for 2 weeks each visit & always staying at Pefkos Beach, We became accepted by the owner of Pefkos Beach (Antonis Mingos)as part of his family what an honour this was. In August of 2003 we asked Antonis to see if there was any propery for sale in or around the area as we wished to fulfill our wish of moving there. In May of 2004 antonis told us of some propertis in kiotari which a friend of his was building, he arranged for us to view them and we subsequently decided that we would buy one of them (a three bed semi across the road from the beach) The price was agreed, we went out again in Aug 2004 to pay our deposit, returned back to the UK and put our home up for sale. Went back again New Year 2005 and paid for our new home. March 2005 we moved in furniture and all I had to return for work but my wife stayed for the summer, myself going out every 8 to 10 weeks for a short break. We have met many new & wonderfull Greek friends all who have welcomed us into the comunity with open arms, we could not have wished for better and now feel totally accepted by our new neighbours. We can honestly say that the hopsitality & friendliness of the Greek people make Rodos a great place to visit for a holiday.

My wife Allison and I have been going to Lindos for 10yrs now and would like to say its a little paradise and wouldn't dream of going anywhere else
