Grand Renovation of Rodos Palace
After 2 years of elaborate design and intensive construction work the grand renovation of Rodos Palace Resort Hotel was successfully completed this year. This costly investment, undertaken under the supervision of "Stelios Dimou and Associates" interior designers, has definitely enriched the image of the deluxe property with newly-designed, state-of-the-art facilities.
The entire renovation programme integrated two major phases each one involving different areas of the hotel. Phase I, completed in year 2000, included the entire refurbishment of 357 standard rooms, 24 Junior suites and 5 Presidential suites in the Main Tower (Building) of the hotel complex.
In year 2001, Phase II has been successfully completed, resulting to the renovation of the majority of the public areas of Rodos Palace. More specifically. Phase II included:
The radical transformation of the Main Entrance: addition of revolving doors, change of glass facade, creation of new luggage room etc.
The complete renovation of the Reception and Lounges Areas : placing of brand new front desk, installation of new marble floor with mosaics and of impressive false ceilings with gold and silver finishes, placement of brand new furniture, creation of an indoor cascade and soft renovation of the Main Bar complemented by laying of new furnishings.
The radical transformation of the entire Outdoor Pool Area by creating new scenic landscaping and offering relaxed resort atmosphere achieved with the use of natural, environmental-friendly material such as rocks, wood and stones. This redesign entailed the following: enlargement of the outdoor pools and addition of artificial creeks connecting the two pools, pavement of the terraces with flagstones, addition of palm trees, creation of brand new Pool Bar, construction of Wooden Pavilions and finally creation of newly designed Pool Restaurant, providing a fine indoor and outdoor outlet at this area.
The radical renovation of the hotel's areas, meets leisure travellers' highest expectations of a unique holidayexperience in Rodos Palace and provide the effective combination of business and pleasure pursued by business travellers and meeting planners.
